Hi everyone,
I have noticed a layer forming around the digital crown of my Aluminium Apple Watch Series 3. Please see the images attached.
It seems to come off with a toothpick, and I have tried this before. But it seems to come back over time! I'm not sure what it is... any ideas? I don't think anything has spilt near the digital crown before.

We can’t tell how it originates from photos, but it is likely to be external deposits settling in areas like corners. Try Apple’s cleaning advice in How to clean your Apple Watch - Apple Support
I doubt that is is coming from the watch. If you wear it while doing dishes or other household cleaning chores I suggest you wear long sleeved gloves or remove the watch.
Thanks for your response. Perhaps it is something external, but I didn’t know if it was something to do with a layer of Aluminium coming off?
