It applies to any iPhone running iOS 12. Though some things may be specific to specific models, it will state which models things apply to or require with in the manual.

A user manual for an iPhone is located in its box when you purchased and received it. If you might have accidentally lost the manual or out it in the trash then there is one just for you!

This is incorrect. Apple does not include a physical user manual in the box.
