i am sending my phone in for device replacement because of water damage. Right when im done it shows me the steps to take right after i ship my device. it tells me to turn off find my iPhone and to turn off i message. i cannot access my phone because of the water damage. will there be an issue if i cant perform these steps on my damaged iPhone ?

I’m sending it to apple, my protection plan covers my phone and I have been charged already. But after the process was complete it told me to turn off my iPhone and I messages. Reminder that I cannot access these option because my phone won’t turn on. I was asking if there was going to be an issue if I didn’t do those steps ??
