Watch in pocket while running

I'd like to know what features would/wouldn't work if I were to run with the Watch in my pocket without the bands. Does the GPS still work well, for example? What activity is still tracked?

I don't like to run with something on my arms.

Obviously, your watch won't track your heart rate if it's in your pocket. GPS will probably be fine but the accelerometer is designed to track movement with the watch on your wrist, not in your pocket and, since the watch is designed to use both to track distance, it's hard to say how accurate it would be.

Whenever you use a device in a way the manufacturer did not intend, the results can be unsatisfactory.
