Which Macbook would be the best for college?

The MacBook appears to have been discontinued with the latest updates to the MacBook Air and Macbook Pro. The 13" MacBook Pro is a shade over a quarter pound heavier then the MacBook Air, but otherwise the two have almost identical physical dimensions. for college needs a MacBook Air will be great for your applications.

I've bought on Amazon a MacBook Air 13" 2017 spending less than 1.000 euro and I'm so happy.

It's light, performing and the battery literally never ends (about 5 hours of continuous playback with VLC).

The backlit keyboard will let you to write your homework also with poor light in night.

A MacBook Pro will be indicated to, if you need to perform heavy operations like photo/video editing, but it cost more and it's more heavier, so it's depends from you.

Why you ask me about MacBook

A Mac Pro, the device the forum this was posted in originally was for, is a large, and very heavy tower style desktop computer. Definitely not easy to carry, and definitely not a MacBook.

For laptops, either MacBook Air or Macbook Pro are easy to carry, though the Air is lighter than the MacBook Pro.

For storage space, both have same options from 256GB to 1TB. The MacBook Pro has the extra option of a 2TB SSD.

So basically, look at your budget, and adjust the features accordingly.

There are only three options for Apple laptop users - MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. So, that makes it easy to choose a perfect MacBook as per use, like;
