Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Face ID not working.

I followed the troubleshooting tips on the Apple website for Face ID, but it's still not working. The error message says, "Unable to activate Face ID on this iPhone." It's been working since I got it a few months ago, but all of the sudden it stopped yesterday. iOS is up to date and rebooted several times. Any thoughts?

If you already followed ALL the steps provided in this support guide:

If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

and the issue still persists, since your device is still covered by warranty, make an appointment at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider and have your XS Max inspected. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options: Apple – Location Selector
