My iphone got disabled because I forgot my password since I use my fingerprint. I dont want to lose all of my contacts and messages and etc. So im very scared to tackle this alone. I really dont know what to do in this type of situation. Can someone please help me that would be very amazing.

That's exactly why it's important to always have a current iPhone backup.

You do need a computer in order to go through the initial steps to perform the erasing of your device. Once that completes, you should not need a computer to restore the iCloud backup.
You go to your iCloud backup.
Follow the prompts after “Hello”.
An iCloud backup does not require a computer! It just requires your iPhone to be plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi - and you having set up iCloud backups to occur.
Once you have recovered your iPhone, you may restore that iCloud backup:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
The location of your contact information depends completely on where those contacts were housed.
This explains what's stored in your backup.

okay so basically the only way to erase my device is through a computer. After that i should be prompted with a welcome just like a brand new iphone. From there where do i go on the device to restore my contents?

so i went to icloud.com and i went to settings and clicked on my iphone 8 plus and it said "backup: yesterday 04:21 pm but i dont remember backing up my phone on a computer?

can i factory reset hard reset my iphone and use my icloud afterwards or does it only work with the computer method?
