Sudden Numbers glitch..."shadow" columns, rows, & data

I've got a huge spreadsheet that I've kept in Numbers for almost six years, tracking sales figures. Today I added some new columns to track a new book that we're putting on sale. I did what I needed to do and all looked fine. Walked away for a minute and came back to a display that almost looked like I have double vision! There appears to be a new layer of all columns and rows superimposed on itself. Any ideas about how to recover from this?

Duplicated table, perhaps?

Click on the empty canvas away from the table to deselect everything.

Click once on a header row cell to select it, then on the circle at the intersection of the column and row reference tabs to select the table.

With the table selected, press and hold shift, then tap the down arrow and observe any activity on screen.

If there is a duplicate table, one of the tales should move while the other stays in place.

Select both, then open the format inspector, choose Table and check the Table Names checkbox.

Both tables should have the same name. The duplicate will have " - 1" added to the end.

Afte checking that any recent editing has been done in the origina (and repeating it there if that is not the case)l, delete the duplicate.

Regards,

Barry
