Change email for phone

We have a new email address. How do we update the phone and acount log-in to the new email?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 12

You'll need to log out of the Apple ID from all services on the iPhone (iCloud, iTunes & App Stores, Messages and Facetime), then update the Apple ID to the new email, and then log back into the different services with the updated Apple ID.
