Question

Downloaded APP but doesn't show up on IPad.

I bought and app, but it does not show up as an icon on the ipad. I can still access it if I do a search. How can the APP be shown on the IPAD as an icon?

Pentium Core Duo, Windows XP Pro

One reason would be if you already have 11 full screens of apps.
Does it show in iTunes when you select your device and look at the apps tab?

I have 11 screens of apps. But some screens have vacant spaces for app icons.
I haven't synced yet to Itunes. Will do this tonight.

You're not alone. I have the same problem. I only have five screens of apps.

More odd, when I view the loaded apps on my iPad via iTunes, the apps show up on the screens. That is, on iTunes 20 apps appear on page 3, but when I use the iPad, only 15 appear.

Turns out my wife had put on a restriction for age on the apps.

Check the Restrictions setting for your iPad. Setting > General > Restrictions. If you have restricted Apps content, then any apps that fall outside your allowed apps setting will NOT show up on your iPad screen, even though they display within iTunes. Change the setting back to all and the apps should reappear.

So how do I get more then 11 full screens of Apps?

I've got 20 Apps that suddenly went inaccessible on page 12, and 1 on page 13.

They show up on the iMac screen App Window with the correct background but the small window below is white with the apps appear faded. Scrolling on the iPad only gets me to page 11.

And how do I get rid of a pain in the neck error message: "my name iPad" cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found". Sounds like this is a common error many are getting and Apple is not fixing with a software update.

Im havin problems too. I have two pages worth of apps and i deleted and re-downloaded an app along with a few other apps, it didnt appear. I cant seem to get them back and i honestly want to play the apps i downloaded..

I also have the same problem. The icon of some of the apps i have downloaded do not appear on my ipad screen, although if i search for it, i can access it. When I go to the APP Store, the purchase page is blank, but when I press anywhere on the blank page, an app will be shown on another page. The app will also appear if I search it while in the puchase page of the app store. It is so frustrating since I have to go search for an app everytime i want to use it. My resytrictions are disabled, and I have not hidden any app at all. On the other hand, there are apps downloaded ( at the same day/time) that appears on the screen.

I hope you can have an answer to your question too so I can fix the prob also.

Thanks for this.. driving me crazy on how to make the apps i downloaded appear. Now I know its b/c i turned on the restriction.
