Hi. I have an iMac 27in 5K (2017) computer and I am interested in getting the Samsung CRG90 as my second monitor. Is it possible to get the full resolution of that monitor (5120 X 1440) from the iMac? The display doesn't have a Thunderbolt connection, but it has HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4

I don't know what resolutions work on an HDMI connection. Your external monitor needs to support what the iMac supports or it will not work at the unsupported resolutions. You can overcome this by using a third-party software, SwitchRes.
Thanks for your reply, Kappy. I am just wondering if I can get to that resolution using a Thunderbolt to HDMI or DisplayPort cable given that the monitor doesn't support a Thunderbolt connection.
