itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes

So I got a windows LIC and installed it onto my late 2011 iMac using Paralles. I was installing apps that I could not use on my mac os. unknowing i installed itunes under windows. Now I can not open Itunes on mac OS. Should I delete the windows and parralles will that fix it?
