So confused re authorised devices and de-authorising devices - need help....
I-tunes won't let me authorise my new Mac book pro. Says I have too many products.
I deleted all information on an old iPad and old Mac book pro two months ago, gave them to husband who signs in with his own details (not family connected at all). They were factory reset. So he has no details of mine at all on those devices.
On my new computer it is showing up under iTunes manage devices:
three iPads (one which was my deceased mum's which she broke) I managed to delete that tonight but had to sign in to do so which is weird as not used it for years.
I cannot work out which of the iPads is the one I am using now which is an air iPad (the other two aren't). Hubby broke one so he has my old one that was factory reset.
I factory resetted my old MacBook Pro and he has that to learn Apple on. It has nothing of mine in it.
I currently am using a new MacBook Pro (can't authorise), new iPad Air (can't authorise), old iPhone (apparently authorised) and two Air Play Tv's (one only authorised the old one which is in another room). New one purchased months ago, but is not authorised. . That would equate four, five if they believe the new air play tv is authorised, but it states it isn't. .
Until I know which ones to de-authorise I am up the putt.
There is an option to de-authorise all five devices. If I did this, what would happen? Would I lose stuff? I It would leave two remaining, and I'm not sure what they are. It only says iPad but not which one! It would be helpful if they stated which one, but no they don't. I am scared to do that. Would I have to go in and re-authorise them all, would I lose info etc? It's all too fiddly for my brain. I have a disability, and just want it working as it should.
Help please?
Thanks,
Belinda
