how do I sign into my iCloud account.... it says that the activation server is temporarily unavailable.

The System Status page shows there were iCloud problems today. You may need to try again.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
