i am encountering when i tried to install itunes to be able to back up my phone

iTunes does run on Windows 10, as many people will tell you.
If your problem is installing iTunes that you downloaded from the Microsoft Store, , try using the version form Apple: iTunes - Apple and click on the Download button.
