Apple Pay payments pending

I've had a few Apple Pay payments pending for months now. Nothing has been charged to my bank account for the payments, but the purchase worked though... Anyone have an idea on why that is? (Also side note: It won't let me buy anything through Apple Pay now, as if those payments have cleared and I don't have enough money in the account [even though I do]).
