My fingerprint refuses to work! Please HELP!

My Fingerprint refuses to work. I cannot download any of the apps I would like and I have continues to try and use my fingerprint but it just will not accept it and quite frankly I’m tired of spending hours trying to download anything because the touch fingerprint refuses to work. Please HELP, I am at a loss and thanks to all for your help!

I’m not sure if this will work.. but it worked on my 6s, go to settings > Touch ID and passcode > add a new fingerprint, and use your finger again. It might work
