Wait 13 days to reset apple ID password

used an iphone 5, got damaged, bought iphone 7, used same apple ID, no issues

changed passcode, change apple ID associated with phone since storage was full. device got locked.

reset the device, cannot login with the apple ID(password issue).

waited 24 hours to launch the reset, now need to wait 13 days to reset the initial appleID password. any idea if i can use the phone without waiting so much days?

waiting 4 something you paid already? security is good but waiting is bad, shall i wait 13 days or buy a new phone? do something support, this is annoying.

Trusted and invested in apple, dont want to change this decision.

Hoping that this can be solved.

Thank you.

The only way to speed up the account recovery process is to remember its current password and log into it.

If the phone is on the activation lock screen you can only re-activate it typing in the id and password of the account that it's locked to, or (and if you bought the phone new) you could try going to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you do) or try contacting iTunes Support online (https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) and see if they can remove the phone from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it
