Bootcamp problems

I tried to install windows 10 on my iMac (Retina 5k, 2017) with the MacOS Mojave 10.14.5 software version but while the bootcamp was doing its job, suddenly I had a power outage. I restarted it. It apparently created a partition for the windows, although it didn't open windows installer or anything of that sort.

My USB Drive of 64 Gb remained unchanged (I think).

I tried running bootcamp again and it had the option of choosing either the macintosh hd disc and creating a new partition with windows on it (which I don't really want to) and the option of deleting the disk that was supposed to have the windows and creating a unique partition for windows. I chose the 2nd option, however this time, after choosing that option it said that there was no usb drive connected to the system (but it was). Still I did it, I chose the proper ISO file and started it. After the process was done, the Mac restarted and after a couple of seconds, it appeared a flashing image of a file with an interrogation mark on it. I shut the mac down and powered it back on. I started normally again. And that's how it ended. Can someone help me?

Run

diskutil eraseVolume fat32 BOOTCAMP disk0s3

If you do not see any errors, run BC Assistant and click on Restore/Remove.

Download macOS Mojave 10.14.5 Boot Camp Update and install.

Run SMC and NVRAM Reset.

BC = Bootcamp

You should be booted in macOS.

  • Click on Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.
  • Triple-click the following line

diskutil list

  • Command+C to copy the line
  • Command+V to paste the command in the Terminal window and press Enter/Return
  • Select and Copy the output
  • Paste it as a Reply to this discussion

This a diagnostic step. It does not modify the system.
