shortcuts app and the SmartThings app
How do I use the shortcuts app to control an action in the Smartthings app? I can get the shortcut to open the other app, but then how do I get it to activate a device?

I am unaware of SmartThings having included support for Siri Shortcuts at this time. As a workaround please checkout the application IFTTT as it works with both SmartThings and Siri Shortcuts and can act as an intermediate between the two services.
