i have a brand new computer and I went to open it up again and I don’t have a password to open it up with how do I get it

So you have a brand new Mac, and you no longer have the password? If so, you’ll have to reset the password, as passwords are not saved.
Or is this a new-to-you previously-used Mac, and one that the seller didn’t go through the Apple-recommended path?
