I can’t rename my Bluetooth devices with my iPhone Xr. Has anyone done that?

Actually it isn't for just Apple devices it is for those that provide a means to be renamed. But as your screenshot clearly states not all Bluetooth devices can be renamed. mvan231 is 0 for 2 in this one.

It is not possible to rename bluetooth devices on iOS
This info must be incorrect, like you say because I don’t have the “Name” selection at each device.
This is only possible on certain devices that are owned by apple and connect wirelessly (AirPods, Beats Headphones, etc.)
