trying to unlock my disable ipad and I follow the steps but it mentions that my ipad couldn't be found

If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPad, this link will help: If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

Then follow the directions in this link EXACTLY to erase your iPad to get back in: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
