Missing Voice Memo Playlist

Trying to sync my iTunes Voice Memo playlist to my iPhone, I've done all the obvious things, selected include voice memos from the sync menu in itunes, selected the playlist to be synced... the voice memos are on my iPhone, if i search for them they are there, but not the playlist itself. I want the playlist because in the playlist they are in a certain order and when I just go to the artist or album, the voice memos are in alphabetical order, which is not useful. Any tips on getting the actual playlist to show up on my phone?
