Lightning to VGA adapter

I’ve been using a Lightning to VGA adapter with my ipad and projector for years with great success. Last time i tried to use it, it would not connect. Believing it to be possibly a hardware failure, i purchased a second adapter with the same results. So, I conclude it must be a software or IOS issue (U have the latest update). Anyone else with the same problem? Any solutions?
