found iPad mini looking for owner

How do i return a lost iPad to the owner? all i have is the serial number

It's wonderful of you to want to find the owner. Apple doesn't get involved in lost or stolen devices, so there is no registry. The advice to turn it over to the police kb1951 suggests is the best option.

Thanks that just saved me a trip to the Apple store - I have a police station that is way closer
