When to do a screen recording, on playback all I get is a black screen and no audio.

Any ideas why this is happening?

When doing a screen recording, you have to select what the audio input (microphone) is. That is selectable with the little arrow to the side of the record button.

By default, audio input is done by microphone (internal or external), to add your own voice-over.

With a little trickery, internal/“system”-audio can be recorded with additional software.
