Star rating not saving - iphone and ipad

Since IOS 10.4 Apple developers have abandoned us users who love their Star Rating system on ipad\iphones. I've never forgiven them for disabling it completely for 6months back in IOS11. Anywho, it's never been the same. After all the pain that I experienced I have finally found a tactical solution for those users who experiencing the subject. We all know the symptom: on Ipads and iphones you make a change and it still remains. Resolution:

Step 1 - active internet

Step 2 - make a change to your star rating and press Done

Step 3 - push the Radio button - this obviously checks in with some icloud crap.

Step 4 - go back to the star rating. it should now have the new setting.
