AppleCare+ after iPad purchase Price

Can I purchase AppleCare+ for my new iPad at the $69 purchase price after having already bought my iPad or am I only able to purchase the $3.49/month option now (which comes out more expensive)? The iPad was just received yesterday. I am only being given the $3.49/month option online but that's not advertised as a caveat anywhere.

You have 60 days past purchase to add AppleCare+ to your iPad. If you are within that time frame, you can add it. If you are outside it, you can't.

Call Apple directly at 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask to speak with AppleCare to add a plan. They'll tell you your options.

We are all users here on this forum. To get the right answer on cost, do as I suggested and call Apple directly. Did you use the Apple finance plan to purchase your iPad? If you did, that may be why you are being offered a monthly price. I've always paid for AppleCare+ in one lump sum, but I've never financed any iPad/iPhone I've ever purchased.
