iCloud storage

Since I’m paying for the extra 200 gb for iCloud storage, why is it telling me that my iPhone storage is full? It says that like about 30gb are being used for photos, shouldn’t that go to my iCloud storage?

Do you have iCloud Photos turned on and also the Optimize iPhone Storage option turned on? Both are at Settings > [username] > iCloud > Photos. More information in: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support
