MacBook 2015: Horizontal Lines & Freezes

It’s a scary moment when your beloved MacBook suddenly has a problem.

Recently my MacBook will randomly throw black and white lines across the screen and completely freeze. I cannot close any programs or move the mouse. I have to force a power down to restart.

Over the past month it’s only happened once or twice, but today it also happened during powering up the MacBook.

Can anyone advise what the issue might be?
