Since this is a new iPad, Bring it into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, evaluation and potential options.
It is still under its free, one-year warranty.
If you had this iPad Air 3 for less than 60 days, I recommend whatever happens at the local Apple Store, that you purchase extended, two-year AppleCare+ for that expensive iPad Air 3.
Things happen to these mobile devices all the time.
