Face ID is not available. Won’t set up Face ID


I’ve turned all Face ID settings off and restarted. When attempted to setup Face ID I get the message above and can’t get setup to begin.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! From the screenshot in your post, I understand that after adjusting your Face ID settings, you still receive the same error message when trying to set up Face ID.


First, install any available iOS updates: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


Then, check the following resource to see if there are any recommended steps that you haven't tried: If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support


If the troubleshooting steps above don't resolve the issue, reach out to Apple Support directly: Contact - Official Apple Support
