How can I tag a person in a photo when the face isn’t particularly clear / it’s the back or side of the head for example?

I want to add a photo of someone who’s wearing a face mask, but my iPhone doesn’t suggest that person when I swipe up to tag them. Is there a workaround for adding/tagging a person in my iPhone photo if I don’t see that person as an option when i swipe up? The trouble is, this person is wearing a face mask and their head is turned to the side...but I really want to add it to a slideshow in my memories.

How to add a person whose face is not shown ok, so I have some photos where a person's face is not shown. Since their face is not shown, Photos Person recognition obviously would not be able to identify them. Although their faces are not shown, I would still like to tag the photo so that when I select the person, say "Kevin" in the People folder, that picture of Kevin (whose face is not shown) is included in the list of photos. Is this possible in some way? Thanks!

can you create a face in photos? the photo app organizes your pictures by recognizing people’s faces but it doesn’t always recognize that there is a face in a picture. is there a way to make it recognize someone’s face so that it can go with the rest of the pictures of that person?

There is nothing called tagging on iPhone Photos. It is called People. Here you will see the effect of Machine Learning.

Add more People.
Select Album All Photos
Click on a photo of someone you want to add
Swipe up to see a thumbnail of that person
Tap the thumbnail,
Tap Add Name, then enter the name,
Tap Next, then tap Done.
View photos that contain a person.
Tap Albums, tap People, then tap the person
Review if required
