A lot of companies discontinue service to certain apps, especially ones that aren't compatible with newer iOS versions. I can't use WatchESPN any more because ESPN has shifted all of its functions to the main ESPN app. In your case it's just too old.

Can you access Netflix through Safari?

Netflix as a a Web browser streaming video Website IS NOT available, at all.

See my reply to the OP for a possible solution and a possible solution for you if you need to get back any older versions of an app, as long as developers have decided to keep the older app versions on Apple’s iOS App Store servers.

Netflix as a a Web browser streaming video Website IS NOT available, at all, from an iDevice.

That is because the desktop Website need the the Microsoft desktop Silverlight plug-in, which an iDevice cannot use.
