You ask the carrier that controls the lock to remove it.
Is your phone paid off? After it is paid off, you can contact the original carrier and have them unlock it remotely. Then you have to backup and restore the device for the unlock to take place
Can it still be unlocked if the phone no more has their sim and is another geography ? Or does their sim needs to be functional?
Ya it’s paid off
Yes, they just need to release it on their end. You don't have the sim anymore?
Read that, it doesn’t say much about if the earlier carrier sim needs to be active or it can be remotely unlocked without the need for sim to be active
Ya dnt have the sim anymore
So, have you contacted the original cellular provider?
Did they indicate the phone could be unlocked?
Nothing can be done until you contact the provider.
