How do I get rid of large white question mark in my Mac dock and get the icon for my printer back?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.13

Click on that white question mark and drag off of the Dock by about an inch, and it will vanish. Open your System Preferences : Print Panel, and drag/drop your printer icon from there onto your Dock.


Assumption: You have checked the printer vendor site, and observed that you have compatible printer drivers installed, and that you have performed the Reset the Print System process.
