Unable to connect to ITunes Store

Have not been able to connect to the ITunes Store all day. Have tried everything, but keep getting the error message when I try to make a purchase.

Force Close iTunes by double tapping your home button to bring up the app switcher, then swipe the app up to fully close it. Tap your home button again to return to your home screen. See if you can access the store.
