I cannot add bank card to Apple watch

Adding a card to Apple watch does not work, error message: an error occured while setting up Apple Pay.

Setting up as new card from watch app did not help. Unpairing watch and pairing again did not work. iPhone SE and Apple watch series 2 have both latest SW.

Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 5

Were you able to add that card to the Wallet on the iPhone itself? Is it possible the card is not supported by Apple Pay? You say you followed the steps in the support document for problems with adding cards. If so, this is the last step.

After you follow these steps, open the Wallet app and look for the button. If it's still missing, contact Apple Support.

Hi,

as written above:

card is supported for apple pay
card is set-ip on iPhone SE and works fine
iPhone and Watch have latest iOS
both devcies have the same regional and language settings
i have already tried restart of both devices and also unpairing the watches
i can see the card in the watch app, but cannot add it, the mentined error appears
i have also tried adding the card first via watch, the same error message appeared
