iOS app music recently played

This question is for the iOS app “Music” NOT “Apple Music”

I want to view recently played music on my iPhone. How is this accomplished?

“Recently Played” used to be a playlist.

All of the solution directions I’ve found for this issue require going through “Apple Music” NOT the app “Music” which is not a solution unless you pay the extra $ for an “Apple Music” subscription.

You cannot get to “For You” without an “Apple Music” subscription.

iPhone XR, iOS 12

Tap on Library. From there, you should see the library of your music. The top selection should be Playlists, and if you tap on that, and then scroll down, you should see a playlist Recently Played. For You is a part of Apple Music.
