Apple Watch - cannot log in due to screen crack

Hello Apple Watch Community,

My watch screen has a crack so I am unable to log in as the '0' does not work on the keypad. When I try to reset the watch and erase all settings, I get an error saying my phone cannot connect to my watch. The watch is fully charged, not in airplane mode, but I cannot log in. It's been working just fine for the past 3 years, until we just went on a trip overseas - and now it cannot update time, and again, not able to change anything from the app on my phone. Any thoughts on this one?
