Does the App Store take long to download?

Thanks for that advice though the thing is I do not have macOS on my system to reboot or diagnose I think my keyboard is down im using the 2018 early 2019 MacBook Pro and the keyboard they gave me seems like an earlier model it has the Touch Bar yet im amazed to see Yosemite on the manual that I cannot really understand and also that I feel I've been possibly misled as im a decade of iPhones in usage that my many spare phones someone along the way with the inv]clusion of only iCloud I seem to manage the whole thing sort of yet the macOS is definitely not there . Is there a weblink to how I can use that if you no please as my certificates are not in the apple name either it would be necessary though had anything im going into a lot of detail to the entirety yet I cannot figure the macOS that's for sure :).
