My voicemail transcription isn’t working on my iPhone 8 Plus

Not working as in it is not doing anything at all, or not working as in not clear in the transcription? Do you have Siri activated and set for English? If so, contact your carrier and ensure they have activated your voicemail as an iPhone, and if they have done anything to disable transcription. The carrier has control of your voicemail.
