Hello,
I purchased a virtual Apple store and iTunes gift card. I see the $25 gift card in my wallet with my rewards cards but won’t let me set it as a form of payment. I purchased an item on an app and it used my bank account instead of the card as well.
I’ve tried to redeem for purchases and no luck. Does anyone know how to use these virtual funds?!?! I have an iPhone XR.

There's 2 types of gift cards.
Apple Store Gift cards, (physical and virtual), and iTunes, App Store, and iBooks gift cards (physical and virtual).
Apple Store Gift cards can be added to wallet, and can be used when buying physical items from a physical store or the online Apple hardware store. They cannot be redeemed onto the iTunes account and as such cannot be be used to purchase movies, tv shows, apps or for in-app purchases.
Unfortunately it seems you bought the wrong kind of card.
