Cannot access to podcasts on iTunes Connect - Access Denied for path /podcasts/v2/allPodcasts

Hi, I have problem to access podcasts at https://itunesconnect.apple.com

After I log in, there is a screen where "Select the type of content you’d like to offer".

But when I click to podcasts it redirects me back to the login screen.

When I tracked requests in Firefox developer tools there I see request to

https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/podcasts/v2/allPodcasts

and there is HTTP 403 error message Access Denied for path /podcasts/v2/allPodcasts

{"timestamp":"2019-07-26T14:26:24.827+0000","status":403,"error":"Forbidden","message":"Access Denied","path":"/podcasts/v2/allPodcasts"}

Thank you

You don't want to be trying to access iTunes Connect - that's not for podcasting, it's for people offering paid-for content. You need to (try to) go to https://podcastsconnect.apple.com

There have been problems in accessing this for some people, though I just tried and had no problems (though this sort of thing often doesn't affect all geographical regions. You may or may not be able to get into it.

If you can't, 'PeculiarFinds' posted this possible solution though I don't know how effective it is likely to be:

Download the itunes app

   Open itunes app

   Mouse over "Account" on the top menu bar

   Click on "sign in."  If you are already signed in then sign out and click on the "sign in" to sign in again.

   It will take you to a login page.  Log in.

   It will tell you something to the affect that you are a new user and aren't able to use all services yet or something like that

   Follow the step by step prompts.  It will tell you something about a credit card but you don't have to enter one.  Just fill out your name and address and continue through the prompts.

   It will tell you that you can now log into all of apple services

   Open the podcasts screen in the itunes app

   On the menu on the right click on "submit podcast"

   It will take you to a login screen.  Log in

   It will ask you to accept terms of service.  Accept it.

   It will now take you to the podcast connect and you can submit your podcast.l

   If it doesn't work then go into the itunes app, click on "account" again, and select "authorizations-->authorize this computer" and go through that process and then try all of these steps again.

If this fails I would suggest reporting it Podcasts Support. Go to Overview - Podcasts - iTunes Connect Resources and Help and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

If that fails the next step is to contact Apple Support: Support

Don't present this as a podcasting problem - they don't handle those and will refer you to Podcasts Support (or give you an inaccurate answer judging by some people's experience). Present the problem as being the inability to access Podcasts Support.

After login, the screen offers link to https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/my-podcasts/new-feed

and there is this problem.

HTTP 403 error message Access Denied for path /podcasts/v2/allPodcasts

when I click on Contact us on page https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview

which links to https://itunespartner.apple.com/contact?content_type=podcasts

there are similar errors for HTTP requests:

HTTP 403 Forbiden on

https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/ra/user/detail

with response

{"data":null,"messages":{"warn":null,"error":["insufficient privileges"],"info":null},"statusCode":"ERROR"}

HTTP 403 Forbiden on

https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/ra/nav/header/modules

with response

{"data":null,"messages":{"warn":null,"error":["insufficient privileges"],"info":null},"statusCode":"ERROR"}

HTTP 403 Forbiden on

https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/podcasts/user

with response

{"timestamp":"2019-07-26T15:23:05.388+0000","status":403,"error":"Forbidden","message":"Access Denied","path":"/podcasts/user"}

So it is impossible to Contact official support also.

And that is the reason why I send request for help here.

There is something wrong with this app and it needs to be reported to the official dev team.

Thank you

Libsyn is the largest podcast hosting company. We have a way to submit directly to Apple Podcasts if you are unable to log into Apple Podcasts Connect - but we can only submit for shows that host with us.

You might want to check with your current podcast host to see if they can help.

It is not ideal when we or anyone else submits for you - as it is better to submit yourself - but given that seems not possible right now for quite a few users - having your host submit now - so your show is live - and then working with Apple later on to move the show to your account once you can log in - is a solution that might make sense for some.

I'm afraid that Support never post here: this is a user to user forum and all we can do is offer advice - as I did above. Unfortunately it's not working for you - I don't have any difficulty accessing these pages (in the UK) so it's presumably some sort of a regional server bug.

I have sent a message to Podcasts Support explaining the problem and asking them to look into it. Anyone having difficulty should post the URL of their feed in case Support look at the posts, though I can't promise that they will.
