I use raise to wake function but it doesn’t go to home screen. It just shows up that device unlocked by the icon on the middle and top of the screen. Still need press one time to home button to got home screen come out.

It is only supposed to wake the lock screen, not bring you to the home screen. That still requires a press of the home button on the iPhone 8. See the instructions in the support document.

Try replacing your fingerprint on Touch ID.

When I was at iOS 12.3, just need take my phone up and put my thumb on home button (don’t need press) my iPhone unlocked and go straight to home screen. That’s what I want to talk.
I have tried few times but it didn’t work. If still need a press on the home button I will turn off raises to wake function because It’s still one press anyway to unlock and go to home screen.
