My iPhone 8 would not turn off. No matter how long I pressed the button. Finally after a lengthy time, the screen turned black and had a loading symbol going around and around. It is stuck. Nothing will work.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have done everything and followed to a t what was suggested. Nothing worked. But I plugged the power cord in for about 15 minutes and now it is back on line.
You're welcome. Sounds like the battery was depleted. Charge it for a while to get it back to a good amount and then try using it.
