How do I get onscreen controls to work when hooked up to my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)?
According to the manual for a LG 32UK50T the menu button o the bottom is a joystick button which you move from side to side to control OnScreen Menus
Hmm... can't find the spec's or anything about an LG UK5OT monitor.
But it sounds like you may need the LG Screen Manager from the App Store.

Thanks. I gave some thought to taking this one back but it looks like it has better resolution. As I think about it, I rarely have more than 6 screens open at a time, and am usually only working on no more than three, so current configuration of two of these plus my iMac. I appreciate the help and am now back to work. No more thinking about my screens for a while.
Then perhaps it has a manual Menu button on the front or side. But I do not know for sure, because I can't find the Spec's or User Manual for an LG UK5OT.
Thanks. Yes, there is a button that brings up a menu but it does not respond to touch, nor can I click on it using the cursor. I've got two of these screens. They are a nice addition screen real estate. I'm just disappointed I can adjust onscreen as advertised and their seems to be no way to split the screens.
Are there other monitors compatible with the iMac that actually do have such functions workable?
This is helpful. You ARE a genius. OK, genius, is there a way to split the screen into say three screens? I usually have a bunch of apps open, so this would be helpful so that I don't have to look under what is currently being displayed.
A check on Amazon shows several monitors with split screen ability. If you are partial to LG here is one that according to the picture has the ability to split the screen 3 ways.

Great job Gary! I was running into a brick wall trying to search LG UK50T without the 32.
I hope the OP will be able to either get the manual or figure out how to use the On Screen Menu.
I don't see any reference to split or multiple windows for this display in the manual. However could you not open different apps and when you want to switch or see what the other apps are doing then open Dashboard(F3) on keyboard and all your open windows would be laid out on the screen to choose from?
