Can’t Reset Apple Watch Using Either Method

Hello,

I am unable to reset my Apple Watch using any of the methods that are described in the support articles/discussion. Long story short, I forgot my passcode, so I went to reset it with the Watch app on my iPhone. The iPhone gave me an error at the end saying it may not have unpaired, however it has. All the Apple Watch will do is display the passcode screen. Nothing more. Pressing and holding the side button is just resetting the Apple Watch. It isn’t bringing up any power down option.

Please help. It is a GPS Series 3 with Verizon, I’ve only had about 10 months.

If the watch is still displaying the passcode screen your unpair and erase failed. Try to erase again using the watch-alone method in If you forgot your Apple Watch passcode - Apple Support. Note particularly you MUST have charger power, and it is very picky about procedure so follow the steps exactly.
