is there any way for my ipod touch to be updated anymore to a higher level? the version i have is 6.1.6
help please. i just dont want to break my ipod. also i might be wrong on what the gen is but i think its gen 3 maybe.

You own a 4th generation iPod Touch and it cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 6.1.6.

If you want an iPod Touch that can run all the latest iOS versions and all of the current apps, you will have to purchase a new 7th gen iPod Touch from Apple or a discounted, refurbished 6th gen model from the Apple Refurbished & Clearance section of Apple’s Website.
